Parental involvement in school activities demonstrates to their children an interest in their education and that they value learning. The following are some ways in which parents help at Mater Dei Catholic Primary School:
- Listen to your child and respond positively about school activities.
- Assist teachers by helping in the classroom as requested
- Become actively involved in the Mater Dei P & F Association
- Assist other parents with tuckshop, social functions and fund-raising activities.
- Attend class/school Masses and Liturgies.
- Attend General Parent Meetings and Information Nights
- Read the fortnightly (digital) Newsletter.
Class Parent Representatives
At Mater Dei, we highly value the participation of parents in their child's education. Each class has a 'Class Parent Representative' (CPR) who assists the teacher whenever needed and coordinates a parent network for that class. The CPR organises social events, providing valuable opportunities to meet other parents of children in the class or year level. Additionally, the CPR supports families in need and welcomes new families to the school, further assisting the class teacher and fostering a strong sense of community.
