Mt Maria College, Mitchelton
At Mater Dei Catholic Primary School, we are committed to nurturing confident, capable and compassionate young people who continue to flourish well beyond their primary years. One of the great strengths of our school community is our close, established relationship with Mt Maria College, Mitchelton. This partnership ensures that every child at Mater Dei has access to a seamless co-educational Catholic schooling journey from Prep to Year 12, grounded in shared values, consistent expectations and a strong sense of belonging.
Mater Dei and Mt Maria enjoy a strong, active partnership that benefits our students academically, socially and spiritually. This collaboration has deepened through our involvement in the Northwest Catholic Collective (NCC) - a network of eight Brisbane Catholic Education schools committed to strengthening pathways, identity and transitions across our region.
The NCC's vision is to provide families with credible and connected Catholic co-educational pathways from Prep to Year 12, ensuring students experience continuity, belonging and rich learning opportunities across schools.
Families at Mater Dei receive Priority Enrolment at Mt Maria College, giving your child a supported and streamlined transition into secondary school. Families are encouraged to apply in Year 3 or Year 4, as Mt Maria offers places to priority applicants during the Year 4 year of school. However, Mt Maria welcomes enquiries from Mater Dei families at any time.
