A Partnership That Extends Beyond Enrolment

Mater Dei Catholic Primary School and Mt Maria College, Mitchelton enjoy a strong, active partnership that benefits our students academically, socially and spiritually. This collaboration ha deepened through our involvement in the Northwest Catholic Collective (NCC)-a network of eight Brisbane Catholic Education schools committed to strengthening pathways, identity and transitions across our region.

The NCC's vision is to provide families with credible and connected Catholic co-educational pathways from Prep to Year 12, ensuring students experience continuity, belonging and rich learning opportunities across schools.

Through the NCC, Mater Dei students participate in shared initiatives with Mt Maria College, including:

  • Curriculum-aligned Rich Learning Experiences using specialist facilities in art, science, music, hospitality, construction and technology.
  • STEM projects and NCC Academy experiences, connecting primary students with secondary expertise.
  • Interschool enrichment in music, sport, spirituality and community service.
  • Enhanced transition programs supporting student wellbeing, confidence and readiness for Year 7.
  • Professional collaboration between Mater Dei and Mt Maria teachers, ensuring consistent pedagogy and a shared understanding of how students learn best.
This partnership is already creating meaningful experiences for our learners and building strong connections that support their growth from childhood to adolescence.
