Free Community Event: Taming the Anxiety Gremlin

​​​A Parent Workshop on Understanding Childhood Anxiety

Mater Dei is proud to host this practical and informative session presented by Tricia Chandra, ​Principal Educational and Developmental Psychologist and Director of Growth Assist Psychology & Co. Tricia is an Endorsed Educational and Developmental Psychologist and has more than 25 years of experience working with school children.

  • The difference between normal and disordered anxiety
  • What happens in the brain when a child is anxious
  • Signs and symptoms of anxiety and how it can present in different ways
  • Common mistakes and what not to do
  • Practical strategies that can help your child manage and reduce anxiety​
  • Treatment options available for childhood anxiety
