At Mater Dei we believe that educating and developing our children is enhanced when our staff, students, parents, the parish and the wider community coexist in positive collaborative relationships of shared responsibility. We encourage and facilitate active participation by parents in the education of their children, work closely and co-operatively with the parish, support our staff to foster a culture of teaching excellence and develop in our students the ability to be effective and productive members of their immediate and broader communities.
All parents, guardians or caregivers must complete an Application for Enrolment form available below.
Once an application is submitted you will receive an email from the school asking you to submit further documentation to support your child's enrolment such as a Birth Certificate, Passport, Citizenship Certificate and Baptism Certificate. Your application is then kept on file until the enrolment process begins the year prior to your child commencing school. Following an enrolment interview with the principal or delegate, a formal offer of enrolment may be offered and a Confirmation of Enrolment form must be completed. A non-refundable acceptance fee is paid, part of which is deducted off the first year's term fees.
In cases where children may require additional specialist support at school or who have a diagnosed condition or disability the Supported Enrolment Process must be followed. This process of data collection allows school personnel to determine necessary adjustments and support structures for children to access the curriculum and to ensure physical safety and emotional support.
All applications to enrol must accept that Mater Dei Primary School is based on the beliefs and traditions of the Catholic faith. Non-Catholic parents must agree to their child being a part of Religious Education lessons, school and class prayer/liturgies, and other activities or events that support the religious values and beliefs of the school.
